Terms and conditions
Last updated 20 October 2026.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Kombo Labs Ltd (“we”, “us”), which runs EverFond at everfond.app and in the EverFond iOS app. By creating an account, or by leaving a message on an event, you accept them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with personal information.
Who can use EverFond
To create an account and host events you must be at least 18. Anyone with an invitation can leave a message without an account; if you are under 18, please do so only with a parent’s or guardian’s permission. EverFond is not meant for children under 13.
Your account
You sign in with Google. Keep that account secure: anything done while signed in as you is treated as done by you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.
Events and invitations
A host creates an event and shares its invitation link, QR code or eight-character code. Anyone who has one of those can open the event and leave a message, so share them with the people you mean to invite. You are responsible for the events you create, what you put on them, and whom you invite.
An event stops taking messages when its end date passes or when it reaches the number of messages its plan allows. The host keeps the messages until they delete the event or their account.
Messages and who owns them
Whoever records or writes a message keeps the rights they have in it. By leaving a message, a guest lets the host keep it, play it and share it privately — with family and friends, for example — and lets us store, process (for example, converting photos) and show it to the host, only so that EverFond can work.
We do not sell messages, use them for advertising, or use them to train artificial intelligence.
What you must not do
Do not use EverFond to post anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit or that infringes someone else’s rights; never anything that sexualises or endangers a child. Do not record or post other people where the law requires their consent and you do not have it. Do not try to break into, overload, copy or misuse the service, or reach events you were not invited to.
We may remove content, close events or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will cooperate with the authorities where the law requires it. To report something, write to us.
Plans and payment
Every event starts on a free plan with a small number of messages. Larger plans are bought one event at a time, at the price shown before you pay. A purchase is a one-off payment for one event, not a subscription. Moving an event to a larger plan costs that plan’s full price.
You pay either through the App Store, where Apple’s terms also apply, or through our web checkout, run for us by RevenueCat and Stripe. We never see your card details. If you delete an event, what you paid for it is released and you can use it on another event.
Cancellations and refunds
A plan is digital content applied to your event as soon as you buy it. By buying, you ask us to apply it straight away and accept that, once it is applied, you lose the 14-day right to cancel you would otherwise have under UK consumer law.
App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, through reportaproblem.apple.com. For web purchases, if something went wrong, write to us and we will put it right or refund you. None of this affects your statutory rights.
Keeping your messages safe
We work hard to keep what your guests leave you, but no online service can promise it will never lose anything. Save copies of the messages that matter most to you.
Ending your use of EverFond
You can stop using EverFond at any time, and delete your account and everything in it from Settings; anything you paid for events goes with it. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we ever close EverFond itself, we will give hosts at least 30 days’ notice where we can, so that they can save their messages.
Our responsibility to you
If we fail to follow these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure or of our negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses: EverFond is for personal use.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as EverFond changes. We will change the date above, and tell hosts in advance of any change that matters. If you keep using EverFond after a change takes effect, the new terms apply.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in its courts. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring them in your local courts, and if you live elsewhere you keep any protections the law where you live gives you.
